"Happy Birthday, Christopher" was written for a young New York City boy who has many relatives living in Utah. At the time of his 5th birthday, Christopher was very much a fan of Dumbo, the Elephant. The song celebrates Christopher's fondness for those special Utah folks as well as his particular cartoon hero (the orchestration, lyrics and sound effects include numerous pointed references to noisy, lumbering elephants - as well as some fellow creatures of the wild).
